Birtley Project

This outdoor space was designed by its owner, and maximises the sloped plot by incorporating lots of beautiful detail. A basic new build garden originally, we had a lo to strip out to bring this plan to completion. The build involved retaining walls clad in mixed grey contemporary wall tiles. These are divided by stunning porcelain tiled steps, connected the large paved terrace with the smaller patio that breaks into the line of the lawn. The new lawn is surrounded by sleeper raised beds. The main terrace is paved in Silver Kandla grey porcelain tiles in 900 x 600, sectioned by 2 large planting beds, timber bin storage, and raised bed section with a single sided pergola for home grown produce. The porcelain tiles continue down the side access and replace the new build concrete slabs that were originally fitted at the front of the property. Low voltage lighting brings life to the space in the evening, and the clients has planted up the spaces for texture and colour throughout the seasons. This project took 6 weeks to complete, and we enjoyed getting the details right to ensure a high finish was achieved. Scroll down for some before and after pictures!
